Randy is a licensed lay minister, a member of Taylor Road Baptist Church for nearly 30 years, and a former trustee of The University of Mobile – A Baptist supported university. His counsel and strategy has been widely sought for on issue advocacy and voter motivation pertaining to the faith community. In 2003 Dr. Brinson formed Redeem The Vote to register and motivate people of faith to vote and was an instrumental part of George W. Bush’s re-election.
In 2008, Dr. Brinson advised former Governor Mike Huckabee’s presidential campaign. Over the past five years, Dr. Brinson has promoted health care, trade, economic activity, and education with an emphasis on Biblical literacy, and Christian values across the globe.
Dr. Brinson is married to the former Pamela Bennett of Valdosta, Georgia. They have three grown sons and 2 granddaughters.

Strong Roots & Service To Our Country
A life-long Republican, Randy grew up in Jacksonville, Florida and attended boarding school in South Carolina where he was the valedictorian of the senior class. Randy completed high school early, and at the ripe age of 16, was accepted at Valdosta State College, where he met his wife, Pamela Bennett. After finishing Valdosta State and earning his medical degree from the Medical College of Georgia, Randy completed his internal medicine residency at the University of Florida Shands Hospital in Jacksonville, Florida and gastroenterology fellowship at the Medical College of Georgia.
After completing his fellowship, Randy moved to Montgomery and served as Chief of Gastroenterology at Maxwell Air Force Base before entering private practice in 1989.

Randy has been involved in Christian music since 1999, bringing WAY-FM to Montgomery. In 2006, Dr. Brinson was tapped as head of the Christian Coalition of Alabama and has served the state legislature in promoting Christian values and principles in Alabama politics.
Randy was first introduced to politics in high school where he worked on the successful gubernatorial campaign of James Burrows Edwards, the first Republican to hold that office. In the late 1990s, Randy served as health care advisor to Governor Fob James.
In 2006, Randy formed a political consulting company, Optimum Impact, which has managed and advised over 150 political campaigns across the United States. In 2008, Randy served as senior advisor and consultant to Governor Mike Huckabee’s presidential campaign.

Dr. Brinson has been widely sought for his counsel and strategy on lobbying and voter motivation among both Republican and Democratic strategists. In 2003 Dr. Brinson formed Redeem The Vote, a non-profit organization organized to improve voter registration and participation among young people. Redeem the Vote was credited as being an instrumental part of George W. Bush’s re-election. During the 2004 election, Redeem The Vote registered over 78,000 people, outpacing all other faith-based voter outreach efforts combined. Subsequent data compiled by the Pew Research Center and USA Today confirmed that the value voters and increased participation among people of faith significantly influenced the election, with Redeem The Vote being one of the most influential. USA Today cited Redeem the Vote as one of the top 10 events involving election year entertainment. A total of 2,500 radio stations broadcast public service announcements for Redeem the Vote.
Redeem The Vote has been featured on CNN with Paula Zahn, “The Sean Hannity Show”, World Net Daily, Fox News, “Nightline”, “Good Morning America”, “CBS Evening News with Dan Rather”, “Inside Politics”, CBN, Trinity Broadcasting Network, and FamilyNet. Print media includes the National Journal, Human Events, the Washington Post, the Washington Times, the New York Times, the Atlanta Journal Constitution, the Boston Globe, and the San Francisco Chronicle.
Proven Ability to Grow Alabama’s Economy
Over the past five years, Dr. Brinson has promoted health care, trade, economic activity, education with an emphasis on Biblical literacy, and Christian values across the globe. He has worked in Mexico, Honduras, Colombia, Peru, and South Africa, including bringing $69 million to Honduras through the Global Agricultural and Food Security Program of the United Nations.
In 2010, working with Alabama’s Agriculture Commissioner, John McMillian, Randy formed a new marketing company, Panamerican Marketing Group, LLC, to promote Alabama products overseas and enhance Alabama’s economy through trade and exports. Through Panamerican Marketing Group, Randy has organized a total of 4 separate trade missions for the Alabama Department of Agriculture, yielding results for the Alabama farm industry and boosting Alabama’s economy.
Randy’s accomplishments for Alabama with his partnership with the Alabama Department of Agriculture include the first and only catfish sale to Exito, the largest catfish retailer in South America and based in Colombia. Randy and his company also created the first trade of organic Honduran coffee, supplying coffee retailers in Alabama with high quality organic coffee through the Port of Mobile.
In May 2015, Randy traveled to South Africa where he was instrumental in negotiating the renewal of the AGOA treaty. As a result of his advocacy, the AGOA treaty was renewed, allowing for the expansion of poultry exports from Alabama to South Africa, yielding direct results for the poultry industry and Alabama’s economy overall.
Through his advocacy for Alabama all over the globe, Randy has built working relationships with the heads of state in Honduras, Peru, Colombia, Zambia, South Africa, and Malawi. The results of these relationships have led to the use of land in the region of Southern Africa for development of agricultural investment from Alabama. Deemed the “Agricultural Renaissance,” the development of agricultural investment from Alabama in Southern Africa has resulted in enhanced crop yield and improved accessibility and proximity to more distant markets such as Middle East, India, and Asia, bringing enhanced profitability to Alabama farmers.
In the Medical Field
In the field of medicine, Randy has published over 35 peer-reviewed articles, published a chapter in the Textbook of Emergency Medicine, and has received over $500,000 in research grants from the pharmaceutical industry to study the role of nutrition in critically-ill patients. He has not only worked as a researcher, but also served as the Director of Research for O’Brien Pharmaceuticals, which was ultimately acquired by Elan Pharma, the most profitable company on the NYSE during the 1990s.
Randy is a current member of the Board of Directors for the Alabama Gastroenterology Society and is a Fellow of the American Gastroenterology Association. Randy continues to advocate strongly for America and Israel’s interests across the globe, and he values to protect us from the threat of radical jihadists and historical adversaries such as China and Russia, as they seek world domination and threaten our way of life.
